Eating the Mantis Shrimp in the Summer

In China, especially in summer, we can often see people eating mantis shrimp happily. Because of its low price, it is one of the most amiable and easy to approach seafood on the people's food desk.

The mantis shrimp is productive in the Yellow Sea and Bo Sea in the west of the Pacific Ocean. There are several ways to cook the mantis shrimp. The simplest way is just to boil it in the saline water. In Tianjin, people like to cook the mantis shrimp with the rose dew wine, while in Zhejiang province, people like to steam it in clear soup and then eat it with the vinegar. In Guangdong province, people like to eat the mantis shrimp with the salt and pepper.

However, in South Sea of China, the mantis shrimp can be different. In addition, this kind of shrimp can grow into half meter long in the warm environment. In south coastal areas of China, people can eat the mantis shrimp in the whole year.

Because of the hard shell of the mantis, it would be a tough process for the people who never eat this kind of shrimp to eat. Even the edged shell can hurt your hand. However, it is not a problem to the people in China who eat mantis shrimp in the whole year.
